Kirk D'Amico's Myriad Pictures has notched up pre-sales on MarioAndreacchio's live-action family adventure Elephant Tales, which is set togo into production in South Africa on Jun 13.

The French/Australian co-production has sold to LNK for Portugal, Prooptikifor Greece, Myndform for Iceland, Box Office for Thailand and Wild World forthe Philippines.

As previously announced, UIP France and Canal Plus hold French rights tothe story of two elephant brothers in the African bush who encounter adventureand a menagerie of animals while searching for their mother.

The Adelaide Motion Picture Company and Breakout Films presentation isbeing produced in association with Outlook Films and Film Finance CorporationAustralia.

Andreacchio, whose credits include the Nastassja Kinski period drama ParadiseFound and The Dreaming, co-wrote the screenplay with John Wild and DenisWhitburn, and produced with Breakout Films' Georges Campana.
