Myriad Pictures has acquiredworldwide rights to romantic comedy Jack And Jill Vs The World starring Freddie Prinze Jr and Taryn Manning.

Myriad is introducing buyersto the story of a bored 30-year-old advertising executive called Jack who fallsfor Jill, a free-spirited girl, following a chance rooftop encounter.

However after Jack learnsthat Jill hasn't told him about a serious illness he becomes furious and theybreak up. It is only then that he realises the strength of his feelings andvows to pursue his love.

Vanessa Parise is directingthe romantic comedy from a screenplay she co-wrote with Peter Stebbings.

Parise produced along withRoger Spottiswoode and Nicholas Tabarrock. Robert Forster, Kelly Rowan andCharlie Martin Smith also star.

Earlier this week Myriadchief Kirk D'Amico picked up worldwide rights excluding Canada to MikeClattenburg's Canadian smash Trailer Park Boys: The Movie.

Myriad's AFM slate featuresthe Houdini drama Death Defying Acts with Catherine Zeta-Jones and Guy Pearce, Dark Matter starring Meryl Streep and Aidan Quinn, and 10Items Or Less, which stars MorganFreeman and Paz Vega.
