NBC Universal International has restructured its international digital group, organizing its digital efforts into two parallel strands - New Media Licensing and Digital Assets.

The moves come in an efforts to reflect the company's priority on digital strategy and to position it for further digital growth, while also driving growth across its international businesses.

New Media Licensing will be headed by Beth Minehart who has been promoted to executive vice president, international new media, for NBC Universal International Television Distribution. She will add international electronic sellthrough to her responsibilities.

Minehart, based in LA, will oversee regionally focused sales teams responsible for licensing across all new media including EST, VOD and SVOD over platforms including cable, satellite, digital terrestrial, internet and mobile. She will report to NBC Universal International Television Distribution president Belinda Menendez on VOD and Craig Kornblau, who is president of Universal Pictures Digital Platforms and Universal Studios Home Entertainment, on EST.

The digital assets team will be headed by Kevin Obi who was recently appointed to senior vice president, digital assets, NBC Universal. Based in London, Obi will lead the strategy and development of NBC Universal's branded digital assets in the international market. He will report to Roma Khanna, president, NBC Universal Global Networks and Digital Initiatives.

The announcements were made by Rick Finkelstein, vice chairman of Universal Pictures, and Peter Smith, president of NBC Universal International.
