The Netherlands Production Platform, which is held during the Netherlands Film Festival's (NFF) Holland Meeting (September 26-29) in Utrecht, is to be extended this year to include European feature projects seeking Dutch financing or co-production partners and involving major Dutch elements.

Last year, producers of two German and two Belgian feature films pitched projects at the Platform in addition to those from Dutch production companies.

Now, in association with other European film funding organisations, the NFF will be inviting producers from Belgium, Denmark, Germany, England, France, Ireland, Luxemburg, Norway, Austria, Sweden and Switzerland to present projects seeking Dutch financing or co-production at the Platform.

According to the organisers, the projects should incorporate Dutch elements such as locations, cast or plot.

In addition, the Holland Film Meeting is to transform its market programme into the re-named Benelux Screenings to present feature films and documentaries from Belgium and Luxembourg in addition to new Dutch productions.

This new venture, which is being organised in collaboration with Flanders Image, Wallonie-Bruxelles Images and Film Fund Luxemburg, will screen a selection of features and documentaries with English subtitles to foreign TV buyers, festival programmers, sales agents, distributors and trade press.

The NFF takes place from September 24 to October 3, 2003.
