New Films Cinema has added the supernatural thriller Dead Awake starring Rose McGowan, Amy Smart and Nick Stahl to its North American distribution slate.
The company has set a December 3 release date and stablemate New Films International is handling international sales and screens the film here.
The film follows three people as they set out to uncover the truth behind a decade-old tragedy that affected each of their lives.
New Films chief content officer Ron Gell finalised the deal shortly before AFM with producers Jason Price, Lucas Jarach and Anthony Gudas.
“Dead Awake director Omar Naim has delivered a compelling film with strong performances that caters brilliantly to the fantasy thriller audience,” Gell said.
“The film is a gripping and visually stylistic thriller blurring the line between fantasy and reality that will leave audiences guessing until the very end,” Price and Jarach said.
“Rose, Amy and Nick have delivered tremendous performances that capture the mysterious nature of their characters and the supernatural world we have created. We’re very excited that the movie will get the theatrical release it deserves this fall.”
