Alain Mamou-Mani has been named general manager of BAC Majestic and will oversee the financial restructuring of the beleaguered French distribution outfit.

Bac Majestic, which issued a profit warning for 2002, lost Euros 13m in 2001 and is seeking an equivalent cash injection, announced on June 7 a draft agreement between its Chairman and CEO Jean Labadie and a (as yet undisclosed) European investor for the restructuring of the Group's shareholder equity (see Screendaily June 12).

The 52 year-old Mamou-Mani previously held a similar position at media and broadcasting group Nova Press as well as at artificial intelligence software specialist Miriad Technologies. He also founded Netcom, an environmental media company, and remains a partner in French film production house MP Productions.
