Laura Linney and Kyra Sedgwick will be among the honourees at the New York Women In Film & Television's (NYWIFT) 28th annual Muse Awards on December 9.
Linney earned an Academy Award nomination this year for The Savages and won an Emmy for the HBO miniseries John Adams. She has wrapped filming on the James Ivory drama City Of Your Final Destination opposite Anthony Hopkins and will next be seen in Richard Eyre's drama The Other Man with Liam Neeson and Antonio Banderas.
Sedgwick earns recognition for her starring role in TNT's TV series The Closer and will next be seen on the big screen opposite Gerard Butler in Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor's action title Game.
The third annual Loreen Arbus Award will go to Eastman Kodak for its support of women in the industry and in particular women cinematographers.
Nickelodeon and MTVN Kids and Family Group president Cyma Zarghami and The Kaplan Thaler Group founder and advertising executive Linda Kaplan Thaler will also be feted at the event.
