The 2026 American Film Market (AFM) will once again take place at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Century City and runs November 10-15.
A letter from Paul Bales, chair of market organiser Independent Film & Television Alliance (IFTA), confirmed the news to members and AFM constituents on Wednesday (January 28).
“The industry response to our Los Angeles homecoming in 2025 confirmed that the Fairmont venue, coupled with screenings at the AMC Century City 15, was the best setting to support the full scope of the Market’s business activity,” the letter read.
“In addition to the sophisticated appeal of the hotel, it allows you and other participants easy access and connection to Los Angeles and the full ecosystem for production, financing, distribution, the agencies, and creative leadership.”
Earlier this month Jackie Brenneman, a former senior executive at the cinema owners trade group formerly known as NATO, was appointed IFTA president and CEO.
She succeeds Jean Prewitt, who is stepping down at the end of the month after 25 years at the head of the organisation.
