The American Cinema Editors made the announcement on Tuesday [7] and said the launch event would feature a panel and top editors in conversation.

EditFest, which started in 2008 and has grown in popularity in its New York and Los Angeles outings, will take place for the first time in London’s Soho on Jun 29.

Attending editors include panelists Slumdog Millionaire’s [pictured] Chris Dickens, Kick-Ass 1 and 2 editor Eddie Hamilton and Mick Audsley of Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire fame.

The event will close with an in-depth conversation between Anne V Coates, whose credits include Lawrence Of Arabia and The Elephant Man, and Tom Rolf, who edited Taxi Driver and The Right Stuff.

“ACE is thrilled to put these talented editors in front of and in touch with audiences in London,” said ACE president Alan Heim.

“For the past five years, in Los Angeles and New York City, we have seen that there is a thirst among the editing community to meet, connect, and hear from their colleagues. We have had many requests over the years to bring EditFest to London and it’s exciting to finally make the vision a reality.”
