Dermot Mulroney will star in horror thriller Trick, which Film Bridge International will launch to worldwide buyers at AFM next week.
Patrick Lussier (Drive Angry, Dracula 2000) will direct the film from a screenplay he co-wrote with Todd Farmer about an elusive serial killer named Trick who descends upon a small town each year in a murderous spree.
A detective whom people believe shot and killed the monster remains unconvinced his foe is dead, and believes he is returning to the town seeking revenge. Mulroney will play the detective.
“After much discussion with director Lussier, Dermot was the only choice for this role and we are ecstatic that he was able to take on the project,” said FilmBridge International chief Ellen Wander.
Mulroney recently filmed an episode of the Amazon Studios series Homecoming starring Julia Roberts.
Gabriela Lugo will serve as producer. Film Bridge International has partnered with Chimney’s Fredrik Zander to handle post-production.
