‘Post Truth’

EXCLUSIVE: Australia-based Odin’s Eye Entertainment has acquired Turkish director Alkan Avcıoğlu’s AI-generated documentary Post Truth, on which it will launch international sales at the European Film Market (EFM).

According to Odin’s Eye, the film explores humanity’s rapidly evolving relationship with autonomous technology and how it is affecting our sense of truth and justice. It uses AI-generated visuals, sounds and music with director Alkan Avcıoğlu editing the film from more than 60 hours of footage.

Post Truth had its international premiere at the Warsaw Film Festival in 2025 and was released in Turkey by Başka Sinema. It is in competition at the upcoming Fantasporto film festival in Portugal.

Avcıoğlu co-wrote the screenplay with multidisciplinary artist Vikki Bardot. It is produced by Turkish AI-focused production company Spongeworthy Studio. 

“This may ruffle some feathers, but I think this is the first ‘AI masterpiece’, and it deserves to be experienced on the big screen,” said Michael Favelle, founder and CEO of Odin’s Eye.

Avcıoğlu previously worked in film acquisitions for over a decade before leaving the industry in 2022 to focus on AI-driven storytelling.
