Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s Artists Equity has appointed industry veteran and former Sony Pictures executive Amy Baer as president of film & television.
Baer most recently served as president of Gidden Media, which she founded in 2012, producing films like The Apprentice and Last Vegas.
Artists Equity’s upcoming production slate includes Joe Carnahan action title The Rip starring Damon, Affleck, Teyana Taylor, and Scott Adkins; the thriller Animals directed by Affleck, who stars alongside Gillian Anderson, Steven Yeun, and Kerry Washington; and Bill Condon’s Sundance premiere Kiss Of The Spider Woman with Jennifer Lopez and Diego Luna.
Among the company’s previous films are The Accountant 2, Small Things Like These, and Air.
Baer was at Sony Pictures for 17 years and oversaw films like Moneyball, The Pursuit Of Happyness, and Adaptation. She was also president of Landline Pictures from 2020–2023, and launched CBS Films and served for four years as its president and CEO.
