‘Dust’

EXCLUSIVE: Condor Distribution has acquired French rights to Anke Blonde’s Berlin Competition entry Dust.

Condor acquired the film from LevelK, which is in negotiation on several additional key territories.

Dust had its world premiere at the Berlinale on Sunday, February 15. Set at the end of the 1990s Belgian tech boom, the suspense sees company founders Luc and Geert watch their empire collapse as news of their fraud breaks. With one final day of freedom left, they part ways in search of redemption – from investors, family, and their community – only to discover what truly matters.

The film is from a script by Angelo Tijssens, and produced by Dries Phlypo for Belgium’s A Private View. Co-production companies are Heretic, Betes Sauvages and Shipsboy.

Jan Hammenecker, Arieh Worthalther, Thibaud Dooms and Verona Verbakel lead the cast.

“We at Condor are very excited to bring to the French audience such a brilliant movie,” said Alexis Mas, CEO of Condor Distribution. “Few films manage to portray the corporate world in the way Anke Blonde does.

“With a promise halfway between a gripping psychological thriller and an absurd existential drama, supported by two powerful actors, we have here a perfect proposition for the arthouse scene, with even serious perspectives of broadening the scope.”

“Getting Condor on board for France feels like the perfect fit for the film, as they truly understand the moral ambiguity and multiple layers of the film, which we are confident will insure a great launch that will reach the right audience,” said LevelK CEO Tine Klint.
