Greenwich Entertainment has acquired North American rights to Fernando Eimbcke’s coming-of-age comedy Olmo, which premiered at the 2025 Berlinale Panorama and is produced by Plan B and Teorema.
Paris- and London-based Film Constellation handles international sales on the 1979 New Mexico-set story co-written by Eimbcke and Vanesa Garnica about a 14-year-old who skips duties taking care of his sick father when he is invited to a party by his beautiful neighbour.
Greenwich will release Olmo theatrically on August 7. The film screened at TIFF, BFI London Film Festival, Deauville, San Sebastián, Morelia, and AFI Fest, among others.
Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner produced for Plan B alongside Michel Franco and Eréndira Núñez Larios for Teorema. CAA Media Finance represented the filmmakers in the North American deal.
In other territory deals, Global Constellation licensed Olmo to Starcat Entertainment in Japan, Falcon PT in Indonesia, Prime Video in Latin America, HBO in Eastern Europe, and Encore for airlines.
