‘Operation Napoelon - Tears Of The Wolf’

Beta Cinema has boarded sales on Operation Napoleon – Tears Of The Wolf, which it will launch at next month’s American Film Market (AFM, November 11-16).

Production is underway on the island of Oro, in the Archipelago Sea of Finland; it began on September 30 and will run until November 21, across Turku, the Finnish Archipelago, Iceland and Hamburg.

The film is a sequel to 2023 thriller Operation Napoleon.

Tears Of The Wolf sends lawyer Kristin and her team on a hunt for a legendary stash of Nazi diamonds hidden during the Second World War. Their journey spans Iceland, Finland and Germany, culminating in a high-stakes chase through Helsinki’s underground bunker system and a showdown in the Finnish Archipelago.

The sequel is directed by Jyri Kahonen, with a script again from Marteinn Thorisson.

Anita Elsani and Alexander Klein produce for Germany’s Splendid Entertainment with Kjartan Thor Thordarson of Iceland’s Sagafilm.

Vivian Olafsdottir leads the cast, alongside Jack Fox, Olafur Darri Olafsson – recently seen in Severance – Tom Weston-Jones, and Laura Birn.

The production is supported by Moin Filmfund, Business Finland and the Icelandic Ministry of Industry and Innovation

Sam Film will release the film in Icelandic cinemas, with Splendid Film distributing in Germany.

Beta sold the first Operation Napoleon film to over 40 territories worldwide, including Magnolia for the US. “This strong national and international resonance fills us with confidence and enthusiasm for the sequel,” said Elsani.
