Bone Lake

Bleecker Street has made its latest foray into genre, partnering with long-time collaborator LD Entertainment to acquire US rights to Mercedes Bryce Morgan’s survival thriller and Fantastic Fest in 2024 selection Bone Lake. Mister Smith has come on board to handle international sales starting in Cannes.

Marco Pigossi, Maddie Hasson, Alex Roe, and Andra Nechita star in the story about a couple’s romantic secluded lakeside vacation that goes awry when they are forced to share a mansion with a mysterious and attractive couple. Their dream getaway descends into sex, lies, and manipulation, bringing terrifying secrets to light and triggering a bloody battle for survival.

Bone Lake is produced by Mickey Liddell, Pete Shilaimon, and Jacob Yakob for LD Entertainment, with Joshua Friedlander and Jason Blumenfeld. Executive producers include Mehrdod Heydari and Joseph Yakob for LD Entertainment, as well as Roe.

Bleecker Street will release the film theatrically on October 10. Avy Eschenasy and Miranda King negotiated the deal with LD’s Michael Glassman and UTA Independent Film Group on behalf of the filmmakers.

Bleecker Street and LD Entertainment have collaborated on I.S.S., Teen Spirit, Megan Leavey, and Anthropoid. Bleecker’s growing genre activity saw the company release Andrew Cumming’s prehistoric horror-thriller Out Of Darkness last year, while creepypasta adaptation The Third Parent starring Rob Lowe, Crispin Glover and Roselyn Sanchez is in post-production and set for an early 2026 release.

A restored version of This Is Spinal Tap will open on July 5 ahead of the sequel, Spinal Tap II: The End Continues, on September 12. Bleecker recently acquired US rights to Max Walker-Silverman’s Sundance drama Rebuilding starring Josh O’Connor that also opens later this year.

Mister Smith and LD Entertainment previously collaborated on the upcoming Cannes Directors’ Fortnight entry Dangerous Animals, which IFC Films and Shudder will distribute in the US.
