The Toronto-based sales company has made a preemptive move on international rights to I’ll Follow You Down.
Richie Mehta’s sci-fi fantasy stars Haley Joel Osment, Gillian Anderson, Rufus Sewell and Victor Garber and will premiere on Jul 28 at Fantasia in Montreal.
Osment stars as a physics student whose father disappeared when he was nine and discovers a clue as to his whereabouts.
Lee Kim produced I’ll Follow You Down, which eOne will distribute in Canada.
The film is based on the life of a British Tourette’s Syndrome campaigner John Davidson.
He predicts films including ‘Hamnet’, ‘Pillion’ and ‘Young Mothers’ will do well with this demographic at the Spanish box office.
The event, also known as Seminici, offers a €70,000 prize to the Spanish distributor of the winning film.
