EXCLUSIVE: Global Constellation has boarded international sales rights on CG animation Dragoons from Canadian firm Icon Creative Studio.
Global Constellation has released a first look of the project, which it will launch to buyers at next week’s European Film Market (EFM, February 12-18).
Dragoons is currently in production, slated for delivery in Q3 2027.
The family film is directed by Charlie The Wonderdog director Shea Wageman, and written and designed by artist Geoff Taylor.
It sees a freak accident at WizCorp transform an overlooked Dragoon worker into a mighty dragon; after which he discovers that dragons were once legendary rulers of the skies, until the wizard CEO stole their power to build his empire.
The film is produced by Wageman with Carson Loveday for Icon Creative Studio.
Icon previously collaborated with Global Constellation on CG family feature Charlie The Wonderdog, with Owen Wilson among its voice cast, which is currently in North American cinemas through Viva and Cineplex, and set for an international rollout this year.

Dragoons joins a Global Constellation animation slate including The Last Whale Singer; 2D musical adventure Viva Carmen; and CG titles The Last Dinosaur, The Growcodile and Mission Granny.
