UK talent agency Casarotto Ramsay has named Jodi Shields as its chairwoman in a newly-created role; and promoted Tracy Brimm to head of film and television.
Shields will hold overall responsibility for the company, having worked at the agency for almost three decades. She will serve as strategic lead, working closely with COO Ian Devlin, head of theatre Mel Kenyon, the board of directors, heads of department and advisory board. Shields will continue her work as a senior agent at the company.
Having joined Casarotto Ramsay & Associates in 1998, Shields has worked as head of film and television for the last eight years. Her portfolio of clients includes Steve McQueen, Edward Berger, Peter Straughan, Sarah Gavron and Lone Scherfig.
Brimm takes on the head of film and television role, having joined Casarotto in 2018 as creative affairs executive. She will oversee the direction and operations of the film and television department whilst continuing to lead creative affairs.
“When it comes to fearless leadership of our beloved company, I had the opportunity to learn from the best in Jenne Casarotto,” said Shields [Jenne Casarotto died last year]. “I look forward to channelling her indomitable spirit to ensure that Casarotto continues to stand at the forefront of London’s global creative output, connecting storytellers, producers, and media companies from around the world, as we have done for the past 36 years.”
