Chloé Zhao, Nia DaCosta, and Geeta Gandbhir, the respective directors behind awards season contenders Hamnet, Hedda, and The Perfect Neighbor, have joined the honorees roster for Sundance Film Festival’s (January 22-February 1) annual fundraiser.
Zhao will receive the Trailblazer Award, DaCosta the Vanguard Award, and Gandbhir the Vanguard Award.
The three annual awards will be presented on January 23 at Celebrating Sundance Institute: A Tribute To Founder Robert Redford in Deer Valley, Utah.
As previously announced, the tribute to the festival’s founder, who died in September, will see the inaugural Robert Redford Luminary Award presented to Gyula Gazdag and Ed Harris.
The January 2026 edition will be the last to take place in Park City, Utah, before the festival moves to Boulder, Colorado, starting in 2027.
