
Three films by German directors world premiere as part of the gala line up at the Zurich Film Festival, taking place from September 25-October 5 in Switzerland.
Christian Ditter’s fantasy film Momo stars Claes Bang, Kim Bodina, Alexa Goodall and the voice of Martin Freeman. It follows a young orphan girl who takes on a powerful corporation that is stealing people’s time.
Also world premiering is Erik Schmitt’s drama The Life Of Wishes starring Matthias Schweighöfer as a man down on his luck who meets a mysterious stranger offering him three wishes. It is joined by Neele Leana Vollmar’s Time We Lost about a retired married couple who begin to question their familiar routine and relationship.
Further titles screening at Zurich include Benny Safdie’s The Smashing Machine; Rebecca Zlotowski’s A Private Life and Paul Greengrass’s The Lost Bus.
The festival’s full programme will be unveiled on September 11.
