EXCLUSIVE: Further territory sales have been unveiled on Mac Eldridge and Tom Dean’s coming-of-age romance Charlie Harper starring Emilia Jones and Nick Robinson ahead of Thursday’s opening day world premiere at Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF, September 4-14).

Eldridge and Dean also wrote the screenplay about a couple who move to a vibrant new city and try to stay together as they navigate young love, purpose, and partnership.

UTA Independent Film Group represents North American rights on the film, which Picture Perfect Federation licensed to Leone Film Group for Italy, Pioneer for Philippines, and SahaMongkol for Thailand and Cambodia.

Patrick Wachsberger and Ashley Stern, now both at 193, produced the Special Presentations selection alongside Mallory Edens of Little Ray Media, and Wyck Godfrey, Isaac Klausner, and Laura Quicksilver of Temple Hill. Wachsberger was among the producers who won the best picture Oscar for CODA in 2022.

Executive producers are Wesley R. Edens, Pascal Breton, Lionel Uzan, Temple Hill’s Marty Bowen, and Ashley Farrell.

Deals previously closed in France (SND), Germany & Austria (Tobis), Australia & New Zealand (Roadshow), Japan (Kinoshita), Latin America (Sun), and Scandinavia (SF Studios), among others.

Jones broke out in Sian Heder’s 2021 Sundance comedy drama CODA, which went on to claim three Oscars including best picture. She will next be seen in Paramount’s The Running Man in November, and will feature in Tony, Matt Johnon’s upcoming Anthony Bourdain film.

Robinson has starred in Netflix smash Damsel, Jurassic World and Love, Simon.
