
David Ellison has named his leadership team for the merged Paramount-Warner.Bros Discovery, ahead of the expected closing of the $111bn deal tomorrow.
The leadership team for the combined company, called Skydance, was announced today by chairman and CEO Ellison, and new co-CEO Ynon Kreiz, the former Mattel boss who was appointed last week.

Andy Gordon becomes president of Skydance, working closely with Ellison and Co-CEO Kreiz. An early advisor to Skydance Media, he helped orchestrate its acquisition of Paramount in 2025 and Paramount’s acquisition of Warner Bros Discovery. He is currently chief strategy officer and chief operating officer of Paramount, and was previously a partner at RedBird Capital Partners.
As previously reported, Skydance’s film division will be led by Paramount executive Dana Goldberg and Josh Greenstein, who each become co-chair of Skydance Motion Picture Group. It was reported last week that their Warner Bros counterparts Pamela Abdy and Michael De Luca would not be joining the new company.
James Gunn and Peter Safran will remain at DC Studios, sharing the title co-chairman of DC Studios.
HBO and HBO Max head Casey Bloys is confirmed to run the company’s streaming operation as co-chair and chief content officer, Skydance DTC, which brings together HBO and Paramount+.
Bloys will work alongside long-serving WBD executive JB Perrette, whose role will span streaming and TV as co-chair & chief business officer, Skydance TV and co-chair & chief business officer, Skydance DTC.
Also on the TV side, George Cheeks, who previously was chair of TV media at Paramount Skydance, becomes co-chair and chief content officer of Skydance TV.
Mark Thompson will continue to run CNN as CEO.
At the head of the company, Ellison will focus on the company’s long-term strategy, creative vision and direction, including its talent relationships, strategic partnerships, technology and capital allocation.
Kreiz will focus on the company’s day-to-day management and integration of the combined business. Gordon will work with both on strategic priorities across its businesses. All three will also serve on the Board of Directors, with Ellison as chairman.
