South Africa, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Israel and the Palestine territories are some of the 42 countries that US streaming giant Disney+ will be available in this summer across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
The service launched in the US in November 2019. As of the fourth quarter of 2021, Disney+ hit 118 million total global subscribers. Disney+ is currently available in 18 countries in the EMEA region, all of which are in Europe, including the UK, Germany, Spain, Sweden and Italy.
The full list of new counties Disney+ will launch in the summer is as follows: Albania, Algeria, Andorra, Bahrain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kosovo, Kuwait, Latvia, Lebanon, Libya, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Malta, Montenegro, Morocco, North Macedonia, Oman, Palestine Territories, Poland, Qatar, Romania, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Vatican City and Yemen.
The streamer will also be available in 11 new territories as of this summer. These are: Faroe Islands (Denmark), French Polynesia (France), French Southern Territories (France), St. Pierre and Miquelon Overseas Collective (France), Åland Islands (Finland), Sint Maarten (Netherlands), Svalbard & Jan Mayen (Norway), British Indian Ocean Territory (UK), Gibraltar (UK), Pitcairn Islands (UK), St Helena (UK).
Exact launch dates have yet to be announced.
