EXCLUSIVE: CEO Brian O’Shea announced on Monday [12] that he has picked up international sales rights to the Sundance premiere heading into Toronto.

The Exchange will offer rights to buyers in Toronto next month. Screen Media and Focus World hold North American rights following deals with Preferred Content and a theatrical release has been set for Sept 20.

Kyle Patrick Alvarez wrote and directed the first and only adaptation of a book by US comic writer David Sedaris about a young man who spends a memorable summer on an apple farm.

Jonathan Groff and Troian Bellisario star alongside Corey Stoll, Dale Dickey, Denis O’Hare and Casey Wilson.

Alvarez produced with Cookie Carosella and Rhino Films’ Stephen Nemeth.

“Indicative of our company strategy, C.O.G. is an accomplished film by a very talented filmmaker and we are proud to represent him internationally,” said O’Shea.

The Exchange has just completed production on Richard LaGravanese’s The Last 5 Years starring Anna Kendrick as well as Jean-Claude Van Damme’s action title Swelter.
