‘Case 137’

EXCLUSIVE: Conic has acquired all UK-Ireland distribution rights for Domink Moll’s Cannes 2025 Competition title Case 137.

It will release the title later in 2026, having picked it up from sales agent Charades.

Set against the backdrop of mass protests in Paris, Case 137 follows Stephanie, an internal affairs investigator assigned to investigate a teenager critically injured by police fire. Her inquiry collides with institutional resistance, forcing her to confront the fragile lines between truth, loyalty and justice.

The film is co-written by Moll with Gilles Marchand, for producers Haut et Court and France 2 Cinema.

Backers are Canal+, Ciné+, France Televisions, the CNC and Creative Europe Media.

Case 137 debuted in Competition at Cannes last year. It went on to record over 650,000 admissions at the French box office, and was nominated for eight Cesar Awards including best film; with lead actress Lea Drucker winning the best actress prize at the César and Lumiére awards.
