EXCLUSIVE: Dougray Scott and Industry breakout Miriam Petche are to star in Farren Blackburn’s high-stakes UK survival thriller Hive, with Altitude launching worldwide sales at the European Film Market (EFM).
A remote medical research facility securely houses swarms of vicious, deadly hornets. A band of thieves executes a daring heist to capture the formula, which holds the key to a revolutionary medical breakthrough. Scott and Petche play a father and daughter whose bond sits at the centre of the story.
Script is written by Nick Love, whose credits include Berlinale Perspectives title Animol, directed by Ashley Walters.
Altitude produces alongside James Harris and Mark Lane for 47 Metres Down and Fall outfit Tea Shop Productions, with Love for Rogue State Films.
UK director Blackburn’s credits include TV series Gangs Of London, The Innocents and Marvel’s Daredevil.
London-based Altitude’s EFM slate also includes Train, from the creators of The Conjuring; Simon Berry’s time-loop shark horror, Shark! Shark! Shark!; and high-concept spider thriller, Crawlers, from the producers of the John Wick franchise.
