Eddie Izzard, Bill Pullman and US DJ Diplo have joined the comedy Covers from Focus Features and Working Title, the next film by Late Night director Nisha Ganatra.
Production is currently underway in Los Angeles. The new arrivals join previously announced Dakota Johnson, Tracee Ellis Ross and Ice Cube in the film, which takes place against the backdrop of the Hollywood music scene. Flora Greeson wrote the screenplay.
Izzard’s multi-pronged career of stand-up comedy, writing and political activism has encompassed many films, among them Victoria & Abdul, Valkyrie, and Ocean’s Thirteen.
He is also active in animation voice work and has acted on Cars 2, The Lego Batman Movie, and Jill Culton’s upcoming Toronto International Film Festival world premiere Abominable from DreamWorks Animation.
Pullman’s filmography includes Independence Day, Zero Effect, Lost Highway, Lake Placid, and Battle Of The Sexes.
Diplo has worked with Beyoncé, Justin Bieber and Madonna. His most recent acting credit was in Pokémon Detective Pikachu.
