Elizabeth Banks is set to star in an untitled horror feature produced by James Gunn and the H Collective.
David Yarovesky will direct from a screenplay by Brian and Mark Gunn. The H Collective is financing the film and produces with Gunn and his Troll Court Entertainment. Production is expected to start this spring.
Banks most recently appeared in Pitch Perfect 3, which she produced, and has produced the entire franchise and directed the second instalment.
She starred in The Hunger Games franchise, among other feature credits, and had recurring roles in TV hits 30 Rock and Modern Family.
“Elizabeth and I have been on the same artistic page since we first met when she auditioned for Slither back in 2005,” Gunn said.
“She’s since remained one of my best friends in the world, and I’ve been fighting tooth and nail to work with her again. She’s the perfect partner to Yarvo, the H Collective and myself in creating this very special project.”
