Los Angeles-based Epic Pictures has struck a couple of pre-sales at EFM on its action thriller Avarice with 2014 Bifa best director winner John V. Soto.
Rights have gone in South Korea to Challan, and in CIS to Paradise/MGN. Epic expects to announce further deals shortly.
Alyssa Sutherland (Vikings) will star in the story of a woman who sets out to rescue her cryptocurrency expert husband after he is kidnapped. Epic also announced that Bren Foster has joined the cast.
Production on Avarice is scheduled to start in April in Australia. Madd Films’ Tim Maddocks is producing with Soto, whose directing credits incliude Luke Hemsworth action film The Reckoning. Epic Pictures Group serves as executive producer.
