EXCLUSIVE: Production has kicked off for Paul J. Bolger’s 3D-animated comedy adventure Outfoxed! about a family of foxes on the run.
U2 frontman Bono leads an all-Irish voice cast that also includes Jamie Beamish, Dylan Bowe and Aileen Mythen. Mk2 Films has boarded and will kick off talks with international buyers at AFM.
Bono plays the leader of a hound pack chasing a family of city foxes who take a day trip to the Irish countryside and are forced to escape on a daring adventure home with a little help from the oddball animals they meet along the way.
The CGI-animated film will blend witty humour with slapstick in a family-friendly adventure produced by Ireland’s Monster Entertainment, Belgium’s Walking the Dog and Luxembourg-based Doghouse Films.
Walking the Dog’s previous credits including A Monster In Paris, The Secret Of Kells, Sylvain Chomet’s Oscar-nominated The Triplets Of Belleville and his more recent The Magnificent Life Of Marcel Pagnol. Doghouse Films’ credits include Nina And The Secret Of The Hedgehog and Fox And Hare Save The Forest.
Outfoxed! is being made with support from the Belgian tax shelter, Screen Ireland, Film Fund Luxembourg, Ireland’s Section 481 tax incentive, Eurimages, Screen Flanders and Screen Brussels.
Mk2 Films will share the first animated sequences from the film with buyers at AFM. Other animated features on the company’s slate include 2024’s Calamity Jane and Allah Is Not Obliged, which premiered at Annecy in June.
