EXCLUSIVE: Andrew Herwitz’s Film Sales Company (FSC) heads to SXSW (March 12-18) next week with sales rights on two upcoming world premieres – Seahorse and Agridulce.

Seahorse premieres in Narrative Feature Competition and hails from Aisha Evelyna. The writer-director also stars alongside Joseph Marcell in the story of a sous chef holding her life together who reckons with her past when she takes in her estranged, homeless father.

FSC holds worldwide rights excluding Canada to the film produced by Natalie Remplakowski through her new Citrine Productions. Mongrel Media holds Canadian rights.

Herwitz holds worldwide rights to the music documentary Agridulce from Jodorowsky’s Dune director Frank Pavich. The film explores the Afro-Caribbean dance phenomenon Bachata and its roots in Dominican Republic.

Pavich filmed for over five years to capture the next generation of Dominican musicians as they come of age both at home and on a worldwide stage. Benjamin De Menil, founder of Academia De Bachata, served as producer. The film will receive its Latin America premiere at Guadalajara next month.
