Indigo Film has released the first trailer for Loro, the new two-part film from Paolo Sorrentino about the life of former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi.

The controversial politician will be played by Toni Servillo, who also appeared in Sorrentino’s The Great Beauty.

The thirty-second trailer (below) sees an unseen voice asking if a person thought they could be ‘the richest man in the country, be Prime Minister, and everybody would be crazy for you?’, before a shadowy figure, presumably Berlusconi, replies ‘Yes. That’s exactly what I expected’.

Loro is an Italian-French coproduction: Indigo Film for Italy, Pathé and France 2 Cinéma for France. In Italy the film will be distributed by Universal Pictures International Italy for Focus Features, while Pathé films will handle International Sales and release the film in France and Switzerland.
