Fox Entertainment Studios and Len Blavatnik’s Access Entertainment have come on board to co-finance acclaimed Israeli filmmaker Avi Nesher’s October 7 feature Our Loves alongside Shari Redstone’s Sipur Studios, United King Films, and Artomas Communications.

Sipur Studios originated the drama, which plays out against the backdrop of the October 7 2023 terror attacks on Israel as the lives of interconnected characters are changed forever over the course of 24 hours.

Nesher, whose last feature The Monkey House earned 12 Israeli Film Academy nominations in 2023 and previously helmed films like Rage And Glory and Past Life, directs an ensemble that includes Shalom Michaelshvili, Magi Azarzar, Yaniv Biton, Noa Cohen, Lena Fraifeld, and Hadas Yaron.

United King Films, Sipur Studios, Artomas Communications and Access Entertainment are the production entities. United King co-founders Moshe Edery and Leon Edery, Sipur’s CEO Emilio Schenker and Gideon Tadmor, Artomas’s Nesher, and Access president and former BBC director of television Danny Cohen serve as producers.

Sipur’s Shari Redstone, Fox Entertainment Studios president and studio head Fernando Szew and Moriah Media’s Jim Berk and Sheldon Rabinowitz are among the executive producers.

The film will open theatrically in Israel in autumn. The partners are exploring distribution options outside Israel and will make further announcements in due course.

Sipur Studios’ Schenker said, ”Only Avi Nesher could tell this story with the humanity and sensitivity it deserves, creating an emotional and deeply moving film that, while touching on the most painful day in Israel’s history, tells an engaging universal story about humanity in the face of crisis and survival.”
