EXCLUSIVE: Laure Parleani, the co-founder of France’s Totem Films, and Easy Riders Films’ co-founder Omar el Kadi have joined forces to launch the Paris-based oufit Reborn Studio that aims to produce film content from A-list filmmakers for luxury brands.
Reborn Studio will handle strategy and international sales for the films, which will include shorts, features and immersive content, with flexible formats designed for everything from film festivals to social media.
“We met with so many producers who have told us that financing the development of auteur-driven projects is increasingly complicated,” said Parleani. “Fostering relationships with them and luxury houses is a win-win for everyone in the film industry.”
Parleani and el Kadi bought production house Reborn from entrepreneur Marc Simoncini and have teamed with Antoine Dray’s creative and production event agency ADR, whose luxury executive director Rabih Saade will help to shape the new venture.
The Reborn Studios team also includes Colin Forcioli and Anne-Laure Davezac.
El Kadi, who co-founded Easy Riders Films with Nadia Turincev in 2019, is behind Levan Akin’s Crossing and Vladimir Perisic’s Lost Country. Parleani co-founded Totem Films with Bérénice Vincent and Agathe Valentin in 2018.
