South Korea’s CJ 4DPlex has sold concert film G-Dragon In Cinema [Ubermensch] to a raft of new territories, expanding its reach to nearly 70 countries.

The film opened in dozens of markets worldwide on October 29 but the distributor has revealed further sales that will see it travel to several more major territories.

Further sales have been made to Vietnam (Mockingbird Pictures), Turkey (CGV Mars), Central America and Paraguay (Rola), the Caribbean and Venezula (Vic Films) and Colombia (Santa Barbara Films).

The film captures the opening concert of G-Dragon’s world tour, Ubermensch, which marked his return to the stage after an eight-year hiatus. Known as the ‘King of K-pop’, the South Korean superstar has hit songs such as Crooked, Who You? and Heartbreaker and more recent releases Power and Home Sweet Home.

As well as conventional screenings, it will be released in formats such as ScreenX, 4DX, Ultra 4DX and IMAX.

Ahead of its official release, premiere screenings were held in South Korea, Thailand, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Japan.

Directed by Jinho Byun, the film is produced by CJ ENM, CJ 4DPlex and ScreenX Studio, presented by Galaxy Corporation and CJ ENM.

After launching in South Korea on March 29, the world tour visited countries including Japan, Australia, Taiwan, the US, and France among other. The tour is ongoing with shows set to take place in Vietnam before returning to South Korea.
