Wild, Wild East

EXCLUSIVE: Global Constellation has secured key first sales for Polish filmmaker Jan Holoubek’s Second World War thriller Wild, Wild East.

It has sold to Maverick Distribution for France, VerCine for Spain and Warner Bros for Poland, where a theatrical release is planned for autumn.

Itay Tiran, Joanna Kulig and Jan Bülow star. In occupied Poland in 1943, a German officer is sent to a remote village to investigate the disappearance of a Jewish lawyer. His arrival disturbs the fragile order between scarred villagers, corrupt collaborators and Nazi authorities, unearthing a web of betrayal and greed tied to whispers of the lawyer’s hidden fortune.

Polish producers are Bogna Szewczyk-Skupień and Klaudia Smieja-Rostworowska for Madants and Ewa Puszczyńska for Extreme Emotions. Aleksandra Takuska co-writes.

Adam Gudell, Filip Friedman, Michał Wawrzynowicz, Karolina Lachowska, and Łukasz Poniński executive produce, in co-production with TVN Warner Bros. Discovery, Moderator Inwestycje, Wrocław Feature Film Studio, and with support from the Polish Film Institute.

Global Constellation is introducing first footage to buyers at the EFM. The Vuelta-owned company formed in 2025 through the integration of London and Paris-based Film Constellation and Munich’s Global Screen.
