EXCLUSIVE: Signature Entertainment has acquired UK-Ireland rights to Jan Komasa’s Toronto and BFI London Film Festival premiere Good Boy, from HanWay Films.
The thriller stars Stephen Graham, Andrea Riseborough and Anson Boon, and marks the English-language debut from Polish Corpus Christi filmmaker Komasa.
It is produced by the UK’s Jeremy Thomas and Poland’s Ewa Piaskowska and Jerzy Skolimowski, and based on a script by Bartek Bartosik and In Camera filmmaker Naqqash Khalid.
A 19-year-old hooligan revels in a life of drugs, parties, and violence. On a night out, he becomes separated from his friends and is abducted by an unknown figure, then wakes up to find himself chained in the basement of an isolated suburban family home.
Kit Rakusen, Savannah Steyn, Austin Haynes and Monika Frajczyk also star.
Signature’s chief commercial officer Elizabeth Williams said: “After the success of the global smash hit Adolescence, and with the fantastic team in front of and behind the camera on Good Boy, we simply could not resist acquiring this excellent film that grips the audience from the very first scene.”
