Kristina Colliander has been appointed CEO of Göteborg Film Festival.
She has been CEO of Film Stockholm since 2021 and will take up the new position in early autumn.
Pia Lundberg, artistic director of the festival, will serve as acting CEO until then.
Colliander takes over from Mirja Wester, who stepped down from the role after overseeing her tenth edition of the festival in February.
Prior to Film Stockholm, Colliander was head of film funding at the Swedish Film Institute.
Colliander said: “It is both an honour and an inspiration to lead Göteborg Film Festival at a time of significant change in the film and cultural sectors. The festival is a unique meeting place for audiences and the industry, and I look forward to contributing to the continued development of the festival as a relevant and innovative force, both in the Nordic region and internationally.”
