Production on HBO’s Harry Potter series is underway at Warner Bros Studios Leavesden in the UK.
A first look image of Dominic McLaughlin as the eponymous wizard has been unveiled, as seen above.
The latest round of casting has also been announced, including Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom, Amos Kitson as Dudley Dursley, Louise Brealey as Madam Rolanda Hooch, and Anton Lesser as Garrick Ollivander. They join newcomers Arabella Stanton and Alastair Stout as Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, respectively, alongside John Lithgow, Nick Frost, Janet McTeer and Paapa Essiedu.
The series is set to debut on HBO and HBO Max in 2027.
Francesca Gardiner is the showrunner and executive producer. Mark Mylod is also executive producer and will direct several of the episodes.
The series is being made by HBO in association with Brontë Film and TV and Warner Bros. Television. Original author J.K. Rowling also serves as executive producer alongside Neil Blair, Ruth Kenley-Letts of Brontë Film and TV, and David Heyman of Heyday Films.
