Stuart Ford’s IM Global continues to assemble a diverse Cannes slate with three new titles headed by the action thriller Protection starring Paul Walker.

Simon West will direct the film in New Mexico in August. Walker, riding high following the worldwide success of Fast & Furious, plays a disgraced former Special Forces soldier who takes on Mexican gangs in an attempt to rescue a judge’s daughter.

Brandon Noonan wrote the screenplay and Robert Lawrence is producing. IM Global holds worldwide rights.

The roster includes the corporate downsizing drama The Company Men starring Tommy Lee Jones, Ben Affleck, Kevin Costner and Chris Cooper.

John Wells, the longtime TV writer whose credits include ER, The West Wing and the new US series Southland, will direct the all-star ensemble who play a group of men whose lives are affected during a round of lay-offs at a major corporation. IM Global holds international rights.

Ford will also be tempting buyers with Bitch Slap, a grindhouse action homage from Rick Jacobson featuring the charms of Zoe Bell, Erin Cummings, Julia Voth and Lucy Lawless as well as Ron Melendez and William Gregory Lee.

Ford and his team are selling international rights and anticipate strong ongoing sales heading into a sold-out market screening next week.
