EXCLUSIVE: Paris-based Indie Sales has appointed Vincent Llobell as head of acquisitions.
Llobell arrives from Pyramide International, where he has served as sales executive since July, covering for sales chief Agathe Mauruc, who is due to return from maternity leave.
He started his career in international sales and marketing at Goodfellas before moving into production with Florence Gastaud at Wild Bunch. He subsequently joined Bac Films in 2022, rising from festivals manager to sales and then sales and acquisitions.
At Bac, he acquired Kohei Igarashi’s Super Happy Forever and recently handled sales for Pyramide International title Lee Sang-il’s Kokuho, Japan’s Oscar submission and highest-grossing local live-action film.
At Indie Sales, Llobell will handle acquisitions as well as sales in France, the UK and Ireland alongside company co-founder and CEO Nicolas Eschbach.
“Vincent has great potential and knowledge of the market to boost our future line-up,” said Eschbach.
Indie Sales’ slate includes Marc Fitoussi’s comedy All About Corinne starring Isabelle Huppert and Sandrine Kiberlain, Rachel Lang’s thriller Mata and Gabriel Osorio’s animation feature Brave Cat.
“The Indie Sales team is young and dynamic, and I’m eager to help promote ambitious cinema, strengthen our relationships with our filmmakers, and discover new talents,” said Llobell.
