
EXCLUSIVE: Isabel Coixet’s romantic drama Three Goodbyes has scored a raft of international sales following its world premiere as a special presentation at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival.
Rome-based Vision Distribution has sold the film to France (Nour Films), Japan (Child Film), China (Hugoeast), Benelux (Arti Film), Hong Kong (Golden Scene), Portugal (Risi Film), Israel (New Cinema), Baltics (Best Film), Australia And New Zeland (Palace), Switzerland (Mfd) and Bulgaria (Beta Film).
Following its TIFF premiere, Three Goodbyes was released in Italy by co-producer Vision Distribution, where it scored 300,000 admissions at the box office.
The film will be distributed in Spain by co-producer Bteam on February 6, 2026.
Three Goodbyes stars Alba Rohrwacher and Elio Germano as Marta and Antonio, who are lovers in the aftermath of a break-up, which leaves Marta sickly and appreciating life’s fleeting pleasures. It is adapted from late Italian author Michela Murgia’s semi-autobiographical novel Three Bowls.
It is an Italian-Spanish co-production between producers Cattleya, Ruvido Produzioni, Bartlebyfilm, Vision Distribution, Buenapinta Media, Bteam Productions, Perdición Films, Apaches Entertainment and Tres Cuencos AIE.
