Jessica Lacy will depart as head of Range Select, the independent film financing and sales division of Range Media Partners, after the 2026 edition of Sundance, Screen has confirmed.
It is understood the decision was mutual and the agent will pursue other opportunities. Lacy is a regular face on the festival and market circuit and joined Range Media Partners as a partner to lead Select in 2022.
Prior to Range, she worked at ICM and ICM Partners for many years and was instrumental in closing the $25m sale of Siân Heder’s eventual best picture Oscar winner Coda to Apple at Sundance in 2021.
Oliver Wheeler, the British agent who has worked with Lacy for a number of years, will remain at Range Select.
Next month’s Sundance Film Festival will be the final edition running in Park City, Utah, before the event moves to Boulder, Colorado, in 2027. The festival just announced its line-up and runs January 22-February 1, 2026.
