K5 to begin sales of We’ll Never Have Paris at AFM this week.

We’ll Never Have Paris, the directorial debut from The Big Bang Theory star Simon Helberg, has been picked up by Oliver Simon and Daniel Baur’s K5 International, which has acquired all international rights.

The film was written and directed by Helberg, who also plays the lead, and co-directed by actor/director Jocelyn Towne.

The film also stars Zachary Quinto, Alfred Molina, Melanie Lynskey, Jason Ritter and Maggie Grace.

Producers are Robert Ogden Barnum of e2b Capital and Katie Mustard, along with Helberg and Towne. Marc Platt is executive producing alongside Daniel Wagner of BiFrostPictures, Steffen Aumüller and Zülfikar Güzelgün of The Bridge Finance Company, Kevin Frakes, Cassian Elwes, Judd Rubin, Hollis Hill, Rodney Baty and Carrie Menke.

The deal was negotiated by Robert Ogden Barnum on behalf of the production and Daniel Baur on behalf of K5 International.

K5 will kick-off sales for the project at the American Film Market (AFM), which begins today in Santa Monica.

This comedy follows hyper-neurotic Quinn Berman (Helberg), who enters a quarter-life crisis when his beautiful coworker Kelsey (Grace) confesses her love for him - just moments before he plans to propose to his girlfriend, Devon (Lynskey).

His life is thrown into a tailspin when Devon leaves him and takes off for Paris. In a noble effort to win her back, Quinn follows her, only to discover that she has developed feelings for a French violin virtuoso.

Helberg said: “Jocelyn and I have attempted to tell a story about the complete and utter destruction of our relationship. We knew K5 was the perfect partner for us when they heard about it and said, ‘This sounds hilarious’.” said Helberg.

Dog-Eared Pictures and K5 International will present in association with H3 Films, BiFrost Pictures, Bridge Finance Company and e2b Capital.
