King born again with Protagonist

Protagonist Pictures has recently boarded sales on Peter Capaldi’s comedy Born To Be King, set to star Ewan McGregor and Kate Hudson.

Shoot is due for October in UK. Alexandra Stone and Dan Lupovitz are producing with Lionsgate distributing in the UK. Indomina previously handled sales on the project.

The comedy will see McGregor play four roles and Hudson two in the story of a hapless young Scot who lands a job as a movie extra in a 1938 costume epic. When the film’s lead goes AWOL, the extra, who bears an uncanny resemblance to the star, is drafted in as a temporary stand-in and falls head over heels in love with the leading lady.
