EXCLUSIVE: Lionsgate Motion Picture Group has bolstered the international sales team heading into Cannes with a promotion and a new hire to the executive ranks.

Jennifer Fattell has been promoted to EVP international sales for the Lionsgate Motion Picture Group. She will lead the London-based sales team’s licencing of the company’s first-run movies, and continues to report to Helen Lee-Kim, president, International, in Los Angeles.

Fattell began her seven-year career at Lionsgate as VP, international sales in October 2017 and was promoted to SVP, international sales in April 2020. She has negotiated deals on John Wick: Chapter 4, The Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds & Snakes, the upcoming Ballerina, and Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, and upcoming original films such as The Housemaid, The Long Walk, and Day Drinker. Prior to Lionsgate she was director of sales at Protagonist Pictures.

Jake Riley-Hunte joins as director of international sales, having previously held both sales and acquisition positions at Universal Pictures Content Group, Visit Films, and Bankside Films. At Universal, he negotiated distribution deals for titles such as The Wedding Banquet and 2024 Cannes premiere Rumours.

In Cannes, Lionsgate International will kick off sales talks on The Hunger Games: Sunrise On The Reaping, John Wick spin-off Caine starring and to be directed by Donnie Yen, and Rats!
