Lionsgate International will launch sales in Cannes on the upcoming action film Run The Night to star Chris Pine.

Experienced second unit director Robert Alonzo, whose credits include Deadpool, The Batman, and The Flash, makes his feature directorial debut. The story centres on a banker accused of betraying the Dutch mob who gets dumped naked in the heart of Amsterdam with a $10m bounty on his head and must fight his way across the city by dawn to save his wife and child.

John Glenn and Alex Davidson co-wrote the screenplay from a story by Glenn.

Todd Lieberman of Hidden Pictures will produce alongside Hidden Pictures president Alex Young, Pine and Ian Gotler through their Barry Linen, and Glenn. Lorenzo De Maio is executive producer.

James Myers will oversee the project for Lionsgate. Dan Freedman negotiated the worldwide deal on behalf of the studio.

Alonzo directed the action on Captain America: Brave New World and is currently in production as the second unit director on Avengers: Doomsday.

Pine’s credits include Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, the Wonder Woman franchise, and the Star Trek trilogy.
