‘Landmarks (Nuestra Tierra)’

EXCLUSIVE: New Wave Films has acquired UK-Ireland distribution rights to Lucrecia Martel’s Landmarks (Nuestra Tierra) from The Match Factory.

Landmarks follows the long-delayed trial of three men for the murder of Javier Chocobar, an Indigenous community leader from Argentina’s Tucuman province, in October 2009.

The film launched out of competition at the Venice Film Festival last year, before winning best film in the Official Competition at the BFI London Film Festival.

It marks New Wave’s third Martel release, after 2008’s The Headless Woman and 2018 Argentine Oscar entry Zama.

The film will play at Edinburgh’s Iberodocs Film Festival in September, before a UK-Ireland theatrical release in December-January.
