Sony Pictures announcement of an animated Spider-Man feature, made by the team behind The Lego Movie, proved the ‘most buzzed’ about new of CinemaCon 2015, according to Way To Blue.

Examining global data across Twitter, news, blogs and forums from April 20-23, the figures placed Vin Diesel’s reveal of a Fast and Furious 8 release date in second place. Third was Universal Pictures announcement of release dates for the Fifty Shades of Grey sequels.

The data also revealed that sequel Magic Mike XXL was the most talked-about title of CinemaCon, with Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation in second place, Mad Max: Fury Road in third and Ridley Scott’s The Martian in fourth.

Walt Disney Pictures topped the chart of studios, followed by Sony Pictures, Warner Bros. Pictures, 20th Century Fox and Universal, placing Paramount Pictures last.

With star power high at this year’s CinemaCon, the attendees to generate most buzz were Vin Diesel, Tom Cruise and Channing Tatum.
